Rants and Off Topic :: Enter at Your Own Risk

Subject: Enter at Your Own Risk
Posted: Fri 16 Sep, 2011 21:42 (GMT -9)

Sometimes it is healthy to let out bottled up aggravation and just scream for a bit. To be able to write out something that happened and send it out for others to read.

I have made this to be a place where people can post their rants and off topic discussions that are likely going to get heated in subject and cause tempers to flare a little.

Note that is not any kind of permission to go picking fights, I will remove hurtful or hateful postings even in here, but if someone does something that you just want to scream about this is the place for it on this forum.

Did Broomhilda grab up the last bottle of Green Skin Number 4 foundation and you really want to yell about how you needed that for looking your best at an upcoming job interview?

Maybe Shakespeare's Weird Sisters won't share their recipe for Cauldron Spicy Apple Cider with you and you are upset and want to do a bit of yelling?

Are you BabbaYagga and are fed up with the neighbor's dog lifting his leg on your house's chicken legs?

Do you have something really scathing that you want to let off about the kids that pushed your cousin into the oven, or that kid who dropped a house onto your dear third cousin twice removed?

You get the idea (likely that the admin needs to be put into a straight jacket), so feel free to rant about whatever you need to vent over in this part of the forum, so that the rest of the forum can stay focused on why we are all here.

Complain about the person that pulls up next door at 11:30 at night with the bass on their radio too high.

Complain about the person that you loaned money to and who now refuses to pay you back.

Complain about the psycho that visits her parents and makes their life hell and you can't do anything about it.

Maybe you just need to complain about the long delay in traffic getting out of Wasilla on a 3 day weekend when all the motorhomes and boats are headed north?

And yes, you can just go off topic here. Maybe ask who else watched the superbowl or who is going to be attending an upcoming concert at the Fair or anything else.

Whatever your reason, this part of the form is open to your off topic discussions and rants. Just keep it nice, the admin is watching --- when she has time.

Oh, and anything posted here is, as always, your responsibility. If you get sued or lose a job because of stuff you posted here it is NOT the fault of the site's admin. I will not be held responsible for your writing about things you shouldn't write about.

Just read over the articles you submitted, I was rather bouncy at seeing something on Cerridwen. Thank you for writing it, that is one of my favorite stories.

No worries.

I've got a few things I can post as articles, & I'll see what else I can come up with for the forums as well. I must confess, I've got some work to do on my own site as well - I usually get more into that when winter sets in.

Happy Harvest Moon!

Apologies for how long it took me to reply, I've been in a sort of zoned out daze for a little while now and just today hit a determination point where I am going to get as much work done as I possibly can, which means visiting each of my websites in turn and seeing if there is anything I can get done at it, then moving on to the next site and ending the day with writing, writing and more writing.

As for your offer - uhh... I have no idea. LOL I've been scheming on creating some Pagan themed artwork of a distinctly Alaskan look, I just have not had the time yet to actually sit down and work out what that means. Please feel free to start up any discussions or post anything you wish, I might pay the bills on the site, but I consider it to belong (in terms of what it evolves into) to all Alaskans that have an interest in finding out, or sharing what they know, about magic, New Age, and pagan type stuff.

If you have any troubles in posting something somewhere on the site let me know, in the forum or via private message here at the site, and I'll do my best to help sort it out if it can be done. I'm still, even after several years of using it, learning new things about the program I use on this site, so I'm not sure what all can and can't be done yet.

As for links, yes, any images or articles or anything should be linked back to your site, or artist page somewhere, as who owns the rights to them.

Community Bonfire :: Craft Fair, October 1st

Subject: Craft Fair, October 1st
Posted: Sat 10 Sep, 2011 15:21 (GMT -9)

I know there are not many of us here, but I thought I would still share the information that there will be a craft fair on October 1st at the American Legion hall north of Wasilla on the Parks Highway.

So far there seem to be over 20 confirmed paid vendors that will be there, including jewelery makers, a blown egg artist, beaders, a scrapbooker, a bookbinder and more. Stop by and see what artistry the craft fair has to offer, you might just find some Pagan style goodies with the craft fair being set just a few weeks before Halloween.

To find out more about this check out the Alaskan Artisans and Crafters group on Facebook, they are who is holding the craft fair - their first one it looks like.
